Costa Ricans are friendly and your host family will be eager to welcome you into their home. All our families are rigorously screened. Enjoy their hospitality while you get used to the Spanish language.
Each family is different
In Costa Rica, families tend to be slighly larger than you might be used to, with older children and grandparents sometimes living at home or nearby. It is impossible to tell you what a "typical" Costa Rican host family is like, because they all come from different backgrounds and places. All families undergo thorough reference and screening checks.
